Tantrum in the grocery store, flying graham crackers in the car on the way home, spilled sippy cup all over the floor. Nap anyone? Yes please! Oh wait, it’s not for me. Put the little ones down. Clean the dishes, fold the laundry, prepare the dinner. Oops, baby crying…”breaks” over. Load up the stroller, hit the park for the 37th day in a row.Anyone hear me out there? It’s a thankless job. But at the risk of sounding cheesy, it’s the best job you could ever have.
While my family acknowledged my hard work on my “special” day, I took the time to think about how lucky I am to have these little guys. The “love note” in black crayon on the freshly painted wall somehow seemed endearing and when my daughter slept through the night for the first time in a year, I thought it was nothing short of a miracle.
All you mamas out there deserve a round of applause….Happy Mothers Day! I hope you treated yourself to something nice….whether it be from us here at metrostyle or anywhere else!!
